Energoinvest successfully completed the work in Albania?

energoinvestTransmission line Tirana – Morina, one of the largest post-war projects of construction of transmission lines on which worked Energoinvest Ltd Sarajevo, is officially put into operation in Tirana.

The ceremony was also attended by a delegation of BH company, headed by Director Bisera Hadzialjevic and her associates Amil Kamenica, Erol Rahmanovic and Nedim Ibrakovic.

The value of the contract, which was funded by the German Development Bank (KfW), amounts to 29 million EUR, and it is a project on a “key in hand”, which means that Energoinvest performed design, procurement of equipment, delivery, implementation of works, testing and commissioning under voltage. The project was completed in accordance with the contractual terms and international standards, and the interconnection transmission line Albania – Kosovo was put under voltage.

This is the second major project that Energoinvest implemented for investor OST Albania (Albania Transco), after a successfully completed project of construction of the transmission line in southern Albania, which was completed earlier this year. They hope to realize successful cooperation with the Albanian partner  on new projects in the future.

Energoinvest realized the Albanian part of the project from Tirana to the Kosovo border (Morina) with transmission line length of 151 kilometers. Albanian part consisted of two segments: delivery and installation of the second system of phase from the substation Tirana 2 to Vau and Dejes (80 km) to an existing transmission line Tirana 2 – Podgorica, with the installation without turning off the first phase of the transmission system (“work alongside voltage”).

Timely delivery of equipment in the current situation has been a challenge, especially during the construction of transmission lines in hardly accessible mountainous terrain.

They built 193 pillars, most of them on extremely inaccessible terrain, 426 km of conductors and 71 km of OPGW, and executed installations of joint boxes and connection of OPGW at 220 kV substation Vau Dejes and Fierza.
