Energoivest projectEnergoinvest d.d. Sarajevo is successfully realizing the project of installation and commissioning of the telecommunication and radio equipment in Congo. The investor of the project is the World Bank, and the final customer is SNEL- Electric Power Industry of Congo. It is about the project of the national importance for the electrification and connecting remote regions and cities in this African country.

The total worth of projects and works that Energoinvest d.d. currently realizes in Congo is more than 2 million euros.

The realization of this project involved the previous delivery and realization of 2.200 kilometers of the optical cable for a given transmission line between the capital Kinshasa and Lubumbashi, that is realized by the Energoinvest‘s sector Transmission lines engineering, during 2012 and 2013.

It is important to note that it is about the African country with a large surface area and the population of more than 80 million inhabitants, and one of the worst roads, and electric power system in the world.

Besides the demanding and hard terrain, the realization was complicated by the climate and sub-tropical diseases. In the context of the logistical challenges, it is important to note that the transport of the equipment in the rainy season on distances between cells of 250-500 kilometers lasts from 7 to 15 days, that represents the huge challenge for workers and engaged car park.

Works are being done according to the plan and we expect that the project will be realized at time. More than 30 people are working at the terrain, a dozen of BH citizens, representatives of BH companies, six manufacturers and representatives of investors. Energoinvest d.d Sarajevo, as a European company, is performing with subcontractors, and the realization of the project is further complicated by the fact that BiH doesn’t have an Embassy in Congo.
