[wzslider autoplay=”true”]The splendor of autumn colors is most intense on the mountains, where the nature lovers find landscapes to relax and enjoy these days.

All colors, from intense green conifers to golden yellow and bordeaux red in the treetops of hardwood and bushes, were exposed by autumn last weekend on Bjelasnica.

In the organization of Alpine Club “Bjelasnica”, 15 mountaineers led by Elza Babic fulfilled their Saturday with active two-hour hiking starting from the locality of “Salihagina bajta”, above the Hazici village Lokve, to the mountain lodge Stanari located in the heart of Bjelasnica at 1.585 meters above sea level. After a scented tea made of aromatic Bjelasnica herbs and a brief rest in the lodge, mountaineers hiked to the mountain lodge “Sitnik” at 1.765 meters above sea level.

Changing weather with occasional wind and rain hindered their intention to continue hiking to Hranisava upon the arrival to Sitnik. Hranisava, which is located 1.964 meters above sea level, is one of the peaks of Bjelasnica and known as one of the most beautiful mountain peaks in B&H.

From Sitnik and Stanari the mountaineers enjoyed in the view on the peak of Hranisava and the picturesque alpine village Mrtvanje located in the ravine bellow Stanari, where the majority of houses is covered in covered with tin roofs typical of mountain areas because of snow drifts. Although the village went silent after the summer liveliness, only with a smoke emerging from some chimneys, sound of hammering and songs sung “from the soul” were the only sounds in the October silence of the mountain.
