Republika Srpska continued borrowing today. The entity borrowed an additional 20.7 million BAM by issuing treasury bills, reports BiznisInfo.ba.
These are securities with a maturity of six months.
The planned amount of the issue was 15 million BAM. However, offers in the amount of 20.7 million BAM were received and almost all of them were accepted.
The average interest on these securities is 2.95 percent.
The most common buyers of treasury bills and bonds are financial institutions, mainly commercial banks.
Let us remind you that the Republika Srpska has recently been in debt rapidly due to the shortfall in the budget, i.e. the payment of earlier debts.
