Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Ironman representative Erdin Hastor recorded an excellent time at yesterday‘s competition in Belek, Turkey.
In yesterday‘s 70.30 race in Belek, Hastor (46) recorded the best time ever among BiH competitors at an official Ironman race. He finished with a time of 4:25:58, which is the BiH record.
That time is the ninth best among competitors in his age category, and the 75th overall result out of as many as 1,260 competitors who participated in this very demanding sports competition.
Hastor pointed out that he is above all devoted to his family and his business career, and that triathlon is his hobby, but one in which he excels.
“Success is really great considering a serious injury less than a month ago. It is difficult to describe the feeling and satisfaction with the achieved success. My goal is to set an example for my children and others that there are values in life that should be strived for,” said Hastor after success.
This 46-year-old from Sarajevo added that sport is the best way to show true values.”
The motto of Ironman is ‘everything is possible’, so I, at 46 years old and with a fairly full schedule, prove it to others. It should also be noted that today it is impossible to achieve this kind of success without great support, primarily from family and friends,” concluded the proud athlete from Sarajevo.
Hastor recorded swimming times of 33:55, cycling 2:12:53 and running 1:33:13. The transitions between the disciplines were 3:57 and 2:02.
Namely, five more competitors from BiH took part in the race, namely Faris Catic, Edin Kolasinac, Dani Catic, Mirsad Caticand Berin Alagic. We congratulate all the representatives of BiHon their participation in the very demanding Ironman competition, Klix.ba reports.
