The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina ruled that Republika Srpska’s legislation on Republika Srpska Day is not in line with the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The EU emphasises that the sovereignty, territorial integrity, constitutional order – including Constitutional Court decisions – and international personality of Bosnia and Herzegovina need to be respected.
The EU urges the political leadership of the Republika Srpska entity to refrain from and renounce provocative, divisive rhetoric and actions, including questioning the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the country.
The EU urges all political actors in Bosnia and Herzegovina to take resolute action to implement the necessary reforms to advance on the EU path towards opening EU accession negotiations.
