“EU at Your Door” This Week in Novi Grad and Sanski Most

eu_pred_vratimaResidents and young people of Novi Grad and Sanski Most will have an opportunity to learn more about the EU and to speak directly to EU officials about this country’s EU perspective, when the “EU at Your Door” initiative visits these towns this week.

Novi Grad will play host to high-school debates, Coffee with the EU, quizzes, talent shows, concerts and plays on 9th and 10th April. German Ambassodor Ulrike Maria Knotz, Political Adviser and Head of EUD/EUSR Banja Luka Office Giulio Zanni, and EUSR Political Advisor Ole Hammer will meet Novi Grad students and citizens and present the activities of the “EU at Your Door” initiative. In the last part of the programme, on the 10th April, Mayor Snjezana Rajilic will join Ambassador Knotz to welcome participants in the EU Show at the Novi Grad Centre for Culture and Education.

EU-themed programmes in Sanski Most on 11 & 12 April will be presented by Spanish Ambassador Maria Aurora Mejia Errasquin, EUSR Political Advisor Jasna Jelisic and EUSR Head of Communications and Spokeperson Andy McGuffie. While students of Sanski Most Gymnasium will meet with Ambassador Errasquin and Jasna Jelisic during the first day of the programme, Andy McGuffie and Mayor Mustafa Avdagic will host the EU Show at City Hall on the second day of the visit.

The country-wide information initiative “EU at Your Door” is organised by the Office of the EU Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with 15 municipalities across Bosnia and Herzegovina. After Novi Grad and Sanski Most the initiative will visit Bugojno on 18-19 April.
