EU Political and Security Committee Ambassadors to open the “Prva Elementary School” in Maglaj

maglajThe Political and Security Committee (PSC) of the European Union will visit Bosnia and Herzegovina on         20 and 21 November 2014. The PSC meets at ambassadorial level as a preparatory body for the Council of the EU. It monitors the international situation in the areas covered by the Common Foreign and Security Policy and the Common Security and Defence Policy of the EU. It plays a central role in the formulation and definition of the European Union’s Foreign Policy.

 During their visit to BiH, Ambassadors of the 28 EU Member States in the PSC, led by Chairman Walter Stevens, will open the “Prva Elementary School” in Maglaj, rehabilitated within the EU Floods Recovery Programme, financed by the European Union.

The Ceremony will take place on Friday, 21 November 2014, starting at 15:50 hrs at the Atrium of the Mixed High School Maglaj and Gymnasium „Edhem Mulabdić“ (Aleja ljiljana 50) in Maglaj, also rehabilitated within the EU Floods Recovery Programme.

 The media are cordially invited to cover the Ceremony and opening of the Prva Elementary School and to arrive to the location at least 15 minutes early. The programme of the event follows:

 15:50    The Ceremony: Address by the Director of the Prva Elementary School, Admir Gračić and PSC Chairman,  Ambassador Walter Stevens, followed by programme by the pupils
