EUFOR Forces Step Forward: Blood Donation Drive Supports Local Communities

Over 100 EUFOR soldiers and civilians participated in a blood donation campaign organized by EUFOR Medical Team at the Institute of Transfusion Medicine of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday. This initiative aims to support healthcare institutions throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina and to further strengthen cooperation for the benefit of all the people living in BiH.

Donating blood is a simple yet powerful act of solidarity and compassion towards fellow citizens. In doing so, EUFOR personnel reflect the founding values of the EUFOR mission, to help and support all citizens of BiH who are in need. It is a tangible tool to save a life or to improve the quality of life for the recipient.

EUFOR Commander, Major General Fronda, emphasized that EUFOR personnel regularly support blood drives, demonstrating their continued compassion and commitment to humanitarian activities dedicated to supporting the people of BiH in need.

“Donating blood is a noble act that fills us with pride and encourages us to continue our mission with even more enthusiasm. We are proud to be able to participate in this activity and we want to encourage young people to consider such donations because it is a simple act, requires little time, and can help someone in difficulty” General Fronda said.

EUFOR and its personnel remain committed to supported all citizens across Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly those in need. Such initiatives serve strengthen the deep ties between EUFOR and the population of BiH built over many years of cooperation.
