The toughest 400-meter race returns to Mt. Igman on June 7. The third edition is characterized by a steep uphill climb and a challenge that keeps attracting more competitors every year.
Applications for the third edition of the Red Bull 400 race in Bosnia and Herzegovina are now officially open. After two challenging and exciting editions, the Olympic ski jumping hill on Igman will once again bring together those ready to test their limits in one of the world’s hardest races.
Red Bull 400 is known as “the most toughest 400 meters” you will ever run, where competitors have to climb 170 meters in elevation with a 37-degree incline over 400 meters. This is why participants describe the race as one of the most intense physical challenges they have ever faced.
Interest in the race has been growing year by year, and Igman is now recognized as one of the most attractive locations on the global calendar for this event.
Emina Alagić set the course record in the women’s competition at 5 minutes and 16 seconds, while among the men, JakubSiarnik from Slovakia was the fastest, completing the course in 3 minutes and 48 seconds.
All interested competitors can apply through the official Red Bull 400 event website. Participants secure their place at the start, receive an official race shirt, and a Red Bull welcome package by paying the entry fee.
The fastest runner will also receive cash prizes. The winners in both the male and female competitions will receive 1,000 BAM, the second-place finishers 800 BAM, and the third-place finishers 500 BAM.
As on the course, speed matters when applying. Those who apply by May 10 can take advantage of the promotional period, during which the entry fee is 50 BAM, Klix.ba writes.
