ČETE REZERVNIH SNAGA EUFOR-aEUFOR’s Intermediate Reserve Companies will start arriving in BiH from 29 May 2014
These Intermediate Reserve Companies are EUFOR’s ‘over-the-horizon’ troops and currently consists of three companies from Austria and Slovenia. They were originally deploying to BiH for ‘Exercise Quick Response 14’ but due to the recent flooding they will now be conducting disaster relief operations jointly with the Armed Forces of BiH. We have given these operations the name of ‘Operation Joint Effort 14’.

In the last few weeks, EUFOR has been providing humanitarian assistance to the BiH authorities, and has conducted over 200 helicopter evacuation flights and evacuated over 800 people. It is envisaged that the arrival of our Intermediate Reserve Companies will build on this assistance previously provided by EUFOR as we work closely with the Armed Forces of BiH to provide further humanitarian assistance in the coming weeks.
