The body of the twelfth migrant, who died when the boat overturned on the Drina river, was found today in the town of Tegare near Bratunac, said the acting director of the Republican Administration of Civil Protection, Boris Trninić.

Trninić said that the body was found by locals.

“Members of the Republic Administration of Civil Protection have marked the place where the body is, and now a decision is awaited whether it will be handed over to the Ministry of Interior of the Republika Srpska or Serbia, who will lead the further investigation,” Trninić said, reports Srna news agency.

A boat with migrants, who tried to cross illegally from Serbia to BiH, overturned two days ago on the Drina river between Drlača near Ljubovija and Orlica near Zvornik.

The Zvornik Police Department previously announced that 15 of the 30 migrants who tried to cross from Serbia to Bosnia and Herzegovina by boat made it ashore.

12 bodies were pulled from the Drina River, including a baby, who is assumed to be no older than nine months.
