In accordance with the Dayton Peace Agreement and the United Nations mandate, EUFOR has been carrying out its mission of supporting the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina for twenty years, in order to maintain a secure and stable environment. EUFOR has always been and will remain impartial and does not interfere in political debates, the EU Force in BiH said.

They stressed that EUFOR acts impartially within the framework of its mandate, expressly and definitively respecting the legal framework of Bosnia and Herzegovina and international law.

“EUFOR will continue to act in a transparent manner and be ready to protect a secure and stable environment, primarily by providing protection to the population,” EUFOR said.

They added that any statement stating and presenting different positions of the forces of Operation “ALTHEA” is false and does not reflect the truth.
