The European Parliament will discuss the European future of the Western Balkans at its plenary session in Strasbourg this week, including the European Commission’s 2025 report on Bosnia and Herzegovina.

According to the agenda of the European Parliament, a joint discussion entitled “EU future for the Western Balkans” is planned for Tuesday, June 16, from 5 to 7 p.m.

As part of that debate, MEPs will consider the reports of the European Commission for the year 2025 on Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo.

The report on Bosnia and Herzegovina was prepared by the rapporteur Ondřej Kolář from the European People’s Party, and the European Parliament’s Committee for Foreign Affairs is responsible for the document.

In the procedure of the European Parliament, it is stated that the report on BiH is in the phase of waiting for a vote, after it was sent for plenary consideration on June 10.

Voting on the report on Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as on the reports for other countries included in the discussion on the Western Balkans, is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, during the voting period from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

The agenda also includes a press conference on reports for Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina, at which reporters Andreas Schieder and Ondřej Kolář should address.

Ahead of the debate on the Western Balkans, the President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović will address the European Parliament at the plenary session on Tuesday.
