A press conference was held yesterday on the occasion of the Third Sarajevo Sevdah Festival which will be held in Sarajevo from 25 to 30 June in Bosnian Cultural Centre, reports radiosarajevo.ba
On that occasion details about the festival were given as well as details about the pre-festival which will be held from 17 to 21 June in Pivnica in Sarajevo.
The creator of the festival Vlado Cabrera said that SSF is becoming a traditional event and added that it is a place with a large number of very good sevdah singers and noted that it will be a very beautiful six days in Bosnian Cultural Centre.
Cabrera noted that the aim of the festival is to promote sevdalinka, and that is why younger sevdalinka singers will have the opportunity to learn from more experienced singers during the festival.
Sarajevo Sevdah Fest is intended to preserve and promote sevdalinka as cultural and historical tradition of BiH and also to make sevdalinka a cultural treasure, and unique cultural product of BIH.
The pre-sale tickets cost 10 BAM, while on the day of the festival they’ll cost 15 BAM, said Press-service of the Festival.
