Exchange of Territory with Serbia at the Railway Station Strpci by the End of the Year?

Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Igor Crnadak expects that the work on establishing the border with Serbia will be completed by the end of the year, including the so-called exchange of territories in municipalities Rudo and Strpci, due to the railway station Strpci.

“Unlike the border with Croatia, where we have a lot of issues, with Serbia, everything should be solved this year. We expect the border agreement to be completed on December 6 or 7, when the visit of members of the Presidency of BiH to Belgrade is announced,” stated Crnadak.

He says that the conclusion of an agreement on the borders is a technical operation, and that it will have a strong political message for both countries.

Crnadak stated that the proposal of the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic to hold a trilateral meeting of senior officials of Serbia, BiH and Croatia has support in BiH.

Crnadak noted that the triangle “Sarajevo-Belgrade-Zagreb” is the most important for the stability of the region”.

He also added that Belgrade took a very constructive attitude towards Sarajevo – it gives strong support to its EU path, but also to the internal agreement within BiH.
