istanbul minijaturaThe exhibition “Charming Istanbul” by illuminist and miniaturist Mihaela Alpayer was open last night at the premises of the Turkish Embassy in Sarajevo.

The exhibition was organized by the Association of Intercultural artistic dialogue (IKASD) from Istanbul under the sponsorship of the Turkish ambassador in BiH, Cihad Erginay. The setting was made by the curator Beste Gursu.

“When you take a look at this exhibition you see that miniature is a very demanding technique and working on one painting takes months. The author is our artist Mihaela Alpayer and her story is quite interesting. She was born in Romania and after reading the “1001 night” she decided to perfect herself in the Turkish classic art.

Her love for Istanbul is reflected in her works where she amazingly succeeded to transfer the astonishing spirit of the past.” – said ambassador Erginay during the opening of the exhibition at the Turkish Embassy.
