Exhibition of Sonja Radan in Wien

sonjaIn organisation of the Embassy of BiH in Wien, and exhibition of paintings of BiH painter Sonja Radan called ‘Žena u znaku žudnje’ was opened in the ‘Porča’ palace, reports Fena.

BiH Ambassador Tanja Milašinović Martinović said that she’s glad because BiH is presented in the best possible way, through culture and tourist potentials and she thanked everyone for making the exhibition reality, especially to the Office of Federal Chancellor who gave the gallery space in the centre of Wien.

Chief of the Office of Federal Chancellor Manfred Matzka congratulated BiH Embassy on successful organisation of exhibition and expressed the readiness of Austria to support cultural and other projects from BiH.

Apart from representatives of diplomatic corps, representatives of Austrian state and cultural institutions and BiH associations in Austria attended, and they had the opportunity to enjoy BiH food.

Musician from Tuzla Alen Džambić who studies in Wien had a short performance as well.

Sonja Radan was born in Sarajevo, where she finished the Academy of Fine Arts and she’s been a member of the Association of Artists for BiH, apart from oil and acrylic she paints on glass and silk as well.

She has exhibited at numerous solo and joint exhibitions in London, Frankfurt, Prague, Sarajevo, Beograd, Dubrovnik, Pula and Malmo.

The exhibition will be opened until 17 May, said the PR office of BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
