The cultural program of the International Theater of Mess Festival, Memory Module, the 19th edition since its first introduction in 1996 will be held from 5 -9 April 2014 in Sarajevo. The exhibition “Sklonište” ( Shelter) of the photographer Jim Marshall on Saturday, 5th April at the Historical Museum of B&H at 19:00 will open this program, which this year will present a variety of art forms with a single aim- to promote a culture of remembrances. Photo-exhibition of Jim Marshall, Velija Hasanbegović, Milomir Kovačević Strašni, two theatrical premieres and a film program dedicated to Syria, with a special evening to B&H artist Šejla Kamerić are some of the contents of this year’s program that will be presented to the Sarajevo audience.
“I consider it symbolic that this program will open with the exhibition of Jim Marshall titled “Shelter” because these are photos that preserve the memory of word, written on the Sarajevo walls during the Sarajevo siege”, announced Nihad Kreševljaković, the Artistic Director of the Memory Module and Director of SARTR.
The theater part of the Module Memory will be marked by the premiere “Pobunjenik M.K” directed by Nermin Hamzagić in the production of Sarajevo National Theater and MESS Festival and “Još jedno pismo preko Crvenog krsta” of the author Elma Selman and Sanela Krsmanović co-produced by MESS Festival and Sarajevo War Theater.
