Mostar International Airport has announced plans to expand its terminal building as passenger traffic continues to grow. The project foresees a larger and more practical terminal area designed to improve passenger movement and ease congestion during the busiest travel periods.

The expansion will also bring new commercial content, including retail stores, souvenir shops and additional food and beverage options for travelers. Airport officials say that modernizing the infrastructure is an important step toward attracting new airlines and opening additional routes.

According to the airport, construction is expected to begin later this year. Visualizations of the upgraded terminal have already been released, showing how the facility is expected to look once the expansion is completed.
