This year is expected a real increase in total exports by 7.3 %, where the growth rate of exports of goods is 8.1 % and exports of services 5 %, according to the projections of the Directorate for Economic Planning of BiH.

This increase of export, with the expected increase in economic activity and domestic demand, should also result in a real increase in total imports by 4.8 %.

Projections of the Directorate for Economic Planning of BiH for the period from 2019 to 2021 show that we can expect an increase in total exports with annual growth rate of 6 %, 5.8 % and 5 %.

An average economic growth of 3.6 % in real terms is expected during this period, an increase of investment by 10 % on an annual level, an increase in employment as well as intensification of foreign trade.

On the other side, a higher level of economic activity leads to an increase in domestic demand in the corporate sector and population sector, which will end up in an increase of imports.

It is expected for import growth rates to be somewhat lower in comparison to exports and they should range from 3.8 % in 2019, 3.6 % in 2020, and 3.7 % in the year of 2021.
