Families of Israeli Hostages block the Highway in Tel Aviv

Families of Israeli hostages held in the Gaza Strip blocked a highway in Tel Aviv on Thursday, holding a banner reading “Either hostages or Rafah. Choose life.”

According to the Israeli “Haaretz”, the relatives of the Israeli hostages held a protest in Tel Aviv, demanding the government to sign an agreement on a ceasefire and exchange of hostages with Hamas.

Protesters closed the Ayalon highway in both directions in Tel Aviv.

The Israeli police intervened during the protest and after some time opened the highway to traffic and detained two people who attacked the demonstrators.

Critical hours are approaching in the cease-fire negotiations between Hamas and Israel. A response to the offer that Israel made to Hamas through an intermediary is awaited.

On the other hand, a member of the Hamas Political Bureau, Osama al-Hamdan, warned that the prisoner exchange negotiations would end if Israel launched a ground attack on the Rafah region of the Gaza Strip.

In violation of the interim ruling of the International Court of Justice, Israel continues its attacks on the Gaza Strip, in which at least 34,596 Palestinians have been killed and 77,816 wounded since October 7 last year, AA writes.
