In the group Sarajevo – Where can I find?, a request was posted by a family from Italy hoping to establish contact with Nerma Tabakovic, who stayed with them as a thirteen-year-old girl.

“I’m researching for my mother. During the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), around 1995, my family hosted a little girl, at that time thirteen years old, and today, after almost 30 years, my mother would be very happy if she could find and contact her. The girl was assigned to my family in Sicily, Italy, in my village called Butera,” wrote Rocco Emma in the post.

The author of the post asked that anyone with additional information contact him privately.

“My mother only remembers the name, which should be NERMA TABAKOVIC, unfortunately, we do not know if it is correct. Thank you in advance, we also have some photos from that time in case you could use them,” wrote Rocco Emme in the group.

In an additional post, Rocco added a photo and said that he believes she returned home to BiH around 1996.
