Three people died in Teočak due to carbon monoxide poisoning, it was confirmed to BHRT.
The Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton, received a report in the afternoon of December 26, 2024, indicating that members of a household in Teočak were not leaving their homes, after which the Teočak Police Patrol found three lifeless bodies at the scene, whose deaths were confirmed by the coroner of the Teočak Health Center.
“The Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Tuzla Canton was informed about everything, and an investigation team from the Criminal Police Sector of the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla was sent to the scene of the incident, which will conduct an investigation in the presence and on the instructions of the prosecutor on duty, all with the aim of determining the circumstances under which the incident occurred. According to the Criminal Procedure Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the investigation is led by the prosecutor, and all further measures and actions will also be taken on the instructions of the acting prosecutor.”
Due to the snowstorm, a state of natural disaster was declared in Teočak and there was no electricity.
