Family Sponsorship- meeting urgent needs in Bosnia

floodsThe J family lives in Bosnia. Mission Without Borders works with over 100 desperately needy families through the family to family sponsorship program in Bosnia. This particular family in Mostar receives the monthly parcels and visits but the coordinator heard of a pressing need. Two north facing windows in their rented house were broken and beyond repair. This was in September. As fall and winter approached, these broken windows would leave the house vulnerable to snow, extreme cold, and wind.

The coordinator was able to secure new windows and install them with the help of the family. The young children were watching and curious about what this would mean. The mother explained that this man brought new windows so now the family would not have to be afraid of wind, rain, or snow. But who paid for the windows, the child asked. She answered “There are good people somewhere abroad, who think about us and care for us and who want us to be warm and safe during the winter”.

Being able to care for families like this all depends on having generous people giving a little each month to Mission Without Borders.
