The restoration and rehabilitation of Stojcevac is a process that is ongoing and will certainly continue, but the popular picnic spot offers its visitors some new content every now and then.
After the wooden path around the lake on Stojcevac was built last year, this year the project was continued through cooperation with the Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Areas in Sarajevo.
“The mutual cooperation between the Municipality of Ilidza and the Cantonal Public Institution led by Asad Jeleskovic in the previous period gave excellent results that are clearly visible on the ground and which are easily recognized and observed by all visitors to Stojcevac”, stressed the head of the Municipality of Ilidza, Nermin Muzur.
In addition to another wooden path, Stojcevac also got a wooden swing by the lake, which is an ideal place to take great photos.
“I believe that soon there will be more new facilities on our pearl at the foot of Igman, which was previously bypassed by everyone, and now it is one of the most desirable locations for excursions for school and preschool children,” said Muzur and added:
“It’s up to us to make sure they enjoy themselves there and are safe!”
Two basketball courts were recently renovated in Stojcevac, and there are also plans to build an indoor soccer field with artificial grass, Klix.ba reports.
