fatima_gusicThe Commission for Gender Equality of the House of Representatives of the B&H Parliamentary Assembly, on the initiative of the OSCE, has this year for the first time decided to award the champions of gender equality.

Fatima Gušić from the municipality Sapna is the award winner in gender equality. As was said during the ceremony of prize award, the value of her work in the field of empowering women from rural and underdeveloped areas in B&H is great. By coordinating activities in the field of gender equality at the local level, Gusić has succeeded to activate women from small places to stand up for themselves and to act.

According to the Commission, the second place went to Sandra Dukić from Banja Luka, while the winner of third prize is Nejra Kadrić from Sarajevo.

A member of Commission for Gender Equality Nermina Zaimović- Uzunović said that the aim of the prize awards is to promote and point out individuals who with their work and efforts have contributed to gender equality in B&H at the local, regional and national level.
