FB&H Railways Interested on Establishment of Sarajevo-Belgrade Train Line

Zeljeznice_FederacijeBiHChairman of the Board-General Director of FB&H Railways Nijaz Puzić and General Director of Serbia Railways Dragoljub Simonović met on Tuesday in Belgrade and discussed the topics of common interest for both companies.

Above all, the debtor- creditor relation between FB&H railways and Serbia railways was discussed, as well as the cooperation in the transport sector and the option of launching passengers train line.

Considering the fact that both company Boards showed interest in re-establishing Sarajevo – Belgrade – Sarajevo train line, it was concluded that component authorities to consider necessary elements needed to justify the decision of introduction of this train line.  The elements are primarily related to the potential passenger flows, competitive price and speed.

The possibility to establish a train route through the border station Zvornik, due to larger number of passengers, was discussed.
