FB&H: The Number of Felonies during the first Six Months decreased

Criminal Offenses Report rts.rsThe Government of the FB&H has adopted the Information on the security situation in the Federation of B&H for the period from January to June 2015, made upon the initiative of the Club of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the FB&H, at which primarily this issue will be discussed.

In a very detailed and comprehensive Information which will be addressed to the House of Representatives, it was stated that, during the first half of 2015, the number of committed criminal offenses decreased by 1.614 (or 13.8 percent) and the solving rate increased by 2.28 percent, compared to the same period last year.

What was also registered is the decrease in the number of violations in the field of public order by 406 (or 4.7 percent), as well as in the number of attacks against the authorized officials by 83 (76.1 percent).at the same time, the number of traffic accidents increased by 822 (or 6.6 percent), in which the number of killed persons increased by 3.9 percent and the number of injured increased by 6.9 percent.

In the reporting period, the number of criminal offenses against property decreased by 16 percent (aggravated theft by 17.3 percent, theft by 18.3 percent, robbery by 2.1 percent, and the offenses against motor vehicles decreased by 11.9 percent).

The increase in criminal offenses is evident in the areas of economic and financial crime by 10.3 percent, corruption by 45.5 percent, and the abuse of narcotic drugs by 7.6 percent. In the first six months of 2015, 7.155 suspects for the execution of the criminal offenses were recorded, which represents a decline by 15.1 percent in relation to the comparative period.

Among the perpetrators of criminal offenses, the number of minors decreased by 35.8 percent, as well as the number of returnee perpetrators by 16.4 percent.

The Report on the work of the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs for the first six months of 2015, which was adopted yesterday, will be submitted to the President and the Vice-Presidents of the FB&H and the Parliament of the FB&H on the basis of the Government’s conclusion, it was stated in the announcement of the Press Office of the Government of FB&H.
