FBiH Government Allocates Additional 12 Million BAM for Bihac Airport Construction

On Wednesday, the Government of the Federation of BiH, at the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications, adopted three decisions adopting programs for the expenditure of funds from capital and current transfers to public companies for the improvement of air traffic in the Federation of BiH in the total amount of 19,300,000 BAM.

These funds were determined in the Budget of the Federation of BiH for 2025 and, according to the decisions made, will be allocated to the airports in Bihać, Sarajevo, Mostar and Tuzla.

Two decisions relate to JP Aerodrom Bihać d.o.o. Bihać. One adopted a Program for the expenditure of funds in the amount of 12 million BAM from the Capital Transfer to Public Companies for the Improvement of Air Traffic in the Federation of BiH, and the funds will be spent on the purchase and costs of land conversion, then the construction of the airport complex, supervision of the execution of works, services for the development of a master plan, as well as for consulting and services for the development of main and conceptual designs, and services for the revision of the main design and detailed regulation of the airport complex.

The second decision adopted a spending program in the amount of 300,000 BAM from the current transfer – subsidies to public enterprises for the improvement of air traffic in the FBiH, and the funds are intended for current expenses.

The third decision adopted a spending program in the amount of 7 million BAM from the Current Transfer “Subsidies to Public Enterprises – for the Improvement of Air Traffic”. These funds are intended for subsidizing existing and opening new airlines.

Of this amount, 3,010,000 BAM are intended for J.P. Sarajevo International Airport d.o.o. Sarajevo, then 2,030,000 BAM for J.P. International Airport – Mostar Airport d.o.o. Mostar, while J.P. Tuzla International Airport d.o.o. Tuzla will be allocated 1,960,000 BAM.

The federal ministries of transport and communications, and finance, as well as the public enterprises Bihać Airport, Sarajevo International Airport, Mostar International Airport and Tuzla International Airport, are responsible for implementing the decisions adopted today.
