The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted today, at a telephone session, at the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, the Decision adopting the Program for the Expenditure of Funds from the Current Transfers to Non-Profit Organizations for Co-financing of Work, Programs and Projects of Social Protection, determined by the Budget of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2026 under the Program for Normative and Strategic Management and Co-financing in the Areas of Social Protection, Family and Child Protection in the Amount of 1,500,000 BAM.
The distribution of these funds will be carried out in accordance with the general and special criteria established by this decision, the Office of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Public Relations announced.
Of the total amount of funds, 800,000 BAM is planned for the employment of gerontohousewives through the provision of home help services, 300,000 BAM for supporting the work of public kitchens, and 140,000 BAM for strengthening professional support and counseling services.
90,000 BAM is planned to support the development of social entrepreneurship and social innovations, and support for post-institutional inclusion in the community.
60,000 BAM is planned to strengthen the professional competencies of workers in the social and child protection system, while 20,000 BAM is planned to support scientific research and publishing activities.
A report on the beneficiaries who have been allocated funds on this basis will be published on the website of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, and the Ministry will monitor the intended use of funds, and will periodically submit a report on the funds spent to the Federal Ministry of Finance, which will report to the Government of the Federation of BiH.
The Ministry of Finance of the Federation of BiH and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of the Federation of BiH are responsible for the implementation of this decision, each within its own jurisdiction, the statement said.
