The successful conclusion of ‘Combined Response 26’ marks a significant milestone in the continued cooperation between EUFOR and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reinforcing their shared commitment to peace and stability across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Conducted in a realistic and demanding training environment, the exercise brought together EUFOR troops and members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina to enhance coordination, interoperability, and operational readiness. Through a series of complex scenarios, participants demonstrated their ability to work together effectively in responding to potential security challenges.
The exercise highlighted the strength of the partnership between EUFOR and AFBiH, underpinned by professionalism, discipline, and a common purpose. Joint training of this nature plays a critical role in ensuring that both forces remain prepared, capable, and ready to act in support of a safe and secure environment.
The Commander of EUFOR, Major General Maurizio Fronda, emphasised the importance of such exercises, stating:
“Combined Response 26 has clearly demonstrated the strength of our cooperation and our shared commitment to readiness. Through continuous joint training, we ensure that both EUFOR and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina are fully prepared to safeguard peace, security, and stability for all citizens.”
