MPs of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the list of candidates for the election of the president and vice presidents of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The list includes Refik Lendo (Party of Democratic Action) from the Bosniak people, Lidija Bradara (Croat Democratic Union of BiH) from the Croats and Igor Stojanović (Social Democratic Party of BiH) from the ranks of the Serb people.
96 MPs voted for this list, while one was against it.
According to the current rules, the president and two vice-presidents of the FBiH are necessarily representatives of each of the three constituent peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina and indispensable factors in the nomination of mandate holders and the formation of the FBiH Government.
After the session of the House of Representatives, the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament will also hold the session and discuss the same items.
The candidates should agree among themselves who will perform the function of president and who will perform the function of vice-presidents of FBiH. If this is not possible, the final decision will be made by the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament.
Also, the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament adopted an initiative that tasked the FBiH Government to allocate funds for aid to Turkey and Syria, Fena news agency reports.
