With 58 votes in favor and 32 abstentions, Edin Music of the SDA was elected chairman of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament. Marinko Cavara (60 for, 22 abstentions) from the HDZ and Sasa Mitrovic (60 for, 28 abstentions) from the Democratic Front were elected vice presidents.
With the singing of the national anthem at noon, the constitutive session of the House of Representatives began. Stjepan Mikic, president of the Central Electoral Commission, bestowed certificates of mandate to delegates, wishing them luck in the coming four-year term.
As Mikic said, thus far two rejected mandates have come to the CIK. Ibrahim Hadzibajric (SBB), current mayor of Stari Grad in Sarajevo, and Salko Selman, newly elected chairman of the FBiH Development Bank, have rejected their mandates.
Hadzibajric’s mandate was delegated to Jasna Durakovic-Hadziomerovic, and the procedure around which Selman’s mandate will be assigned is still incomplete in the CIK BiH.
At today’s session, two newly elected federal delegates were not in attendance – Hasan Muratovic (SDP), current mayor of Zivinice, and Rasim Omerovic (SDA), mayor of Kalesija.
