The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has on Sunday, on the proposal of the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Fadil Novalic, annulled the decision to allocate 21 million BAM to lower levels of government and funds – cantonal municipalities and cities.

These funds were diverted to procure the medical equipment necessary to fight the coronavirus – COVID 19. Federal Ministry of Finance is tasked with directing 21 million BAM from Current Transfer to other levels of government and funds – cantons and municipalities into the Federal Government Current Reserve, and the Federal Government will divert these funds to the Federal Ministry of Health for the procurement of medical equipment necessary to fight coronaviruses – COVID 19, the Federal Government said in a press release.

The distribution of purchased medical and other equipment from these funds will be carried out by the cantonal public health institutes, guided by the population criterion – said Prime Minister Fadil Novalic.
