In the Municipality of Ravno, contracts were signed between representatives of the Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, municipal authorities and five returnee families to construct houses in Ravno.
“The Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees will carry out the construction of these houses through funds from the Saudi Fund for Development (SDF). It is a very important project through which we solve the housing problem of returnees across the country, including those from Foca where we recently signed contracts for 25 houses intended for returnees, Derventa where ten houses will be built, and here in Ravno. Our strategic goal is to provide a roof over the heads of all returnees in order to direct as much resources as possible to employment and education,” the federal Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees Edin Ramic said.
Among the beneficiaries of this project are Tomislav Batina from Trebinje, a village belonging to the area of Ravno.
“I live with my wife and four children. When we applied for the Federal Ministry’s public call, we had three children, we now have four, and we are hoping for the fifth. We are one of the few families with children in this area, and we do not have our roof over our heads. This donation means the word to us and we hope that we can stay alive in this area,” said Batina.
