On Tuesday and Wednesday, 15th and 16th April, the Federal ministry of Environment and Tourism will be the host of the IV meeting of the regional initiative IPA Adriatic “Zero Waste.”
Project “Zero Waste” uses the results obtained from the experiences of partners in the region which engaged in reduce waste during the touristic-cultural manifestations. Namely, they do it using a new approach: through the usage of information and communication technologies and in the aim of the raising and strengthening of awareness regarding waste management.
The Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism, as a host of the conference and as a partner of IPA Adriatic project “Zero Waste” will gather the partners from the region at the IV Meeting in Sarajevo. Namely, the following partners will take part: Faculty for management, tourism and catering from Opatija and the City of Opatija from Croatia, Regional assembly Drača from Albania, Development agency Emilia Romagna, The Office for sustainable development of Rimini Region, Spazio Eventi from Bario from Italy, Faculty for touristic studies from Portorož, Slovenia, and Municipality Tivat from Montenegro.
Every one of these partners in the project chooses the event or manifestation in which to take part and prove how it is possible to not damage the environment, or to achieve ‘Zero Waste’.
In Bosnia-Herzegovina, as an example of two chosen manifestations, there will be the following: tasting of wine in Winery Andrija in Čitluk and Una regatta- NP Una Bihać.
