The Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Forto, met on Wednesday in Istanbul with the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu.

They also discussed the improvement of bilateral cooperation in the field of transport infrastructure, with a focus on road and rail transport, as well as the development of digitization.

“Turkey is an important economic partner of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and our goal is to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries. The direct Sarajevo-Ankara flight that we expect soon is a concrete step in that direction,” Forto said.

He invited Minister Uraloğlu to visit BiH, which was accepted, and the visit is expected by the summer of this year at the latest.

On this occasion, meetings with Bosnian businessmen are planned with the aim of further improving economic cooperation and defining specific infrastructure projects, the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH announced.
