mogheriniFrom the European Commission was specified the date of arrival of the representative of the Union for Foreign and Security Policy Federica Mogherini in the working visit to the Western Balkans.

She will visit Albania, BiH, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia and Macedonia in the period from the 1st to 4th of March.

Before the arrival, she stated that the work with the Western Balkans, a region in the heart of Europe, is a key priority for the European Union.

“I’m working so that each of the partners in the region moves forward on the reform path towards the EU. Regional cooperation and good neighborly relations are essential,” said Mogherini.

She is planning meetings with political leaders, including representatives of government, political parties and members of parliaments.

She will inform EU foreign ministers about the results of the visit on the 6th of March, after returning to Brussels.

To recall, at a recent meeting that was held with Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdic in Munich, Mogherini emphasized support for the continuation of reforms in BiH and said that the EU doors are open for BiH. She commended the visible progress in EU integrations as well as economic development. She said that the coming period should be dedicated to the realization of goals of the Reform Agenda and finalizing the response from the Questionnaire of European Commission, which is a precondition for the further development and prosperity of BiH.

Then was announced that the High Representative of the European Union will visit BiH in early March and that it will be an opportunity to be introduced with the progress achieved so far and planned activities on the path of European integration.
