Valentina Vujicic and Sladjana Todic, students of the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies, who glorified the convicted war criminal Ratko Mladic, were issued a disciplinary measure excluding them from their studies for three years.

The Dean of the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies, Jasmin Ahic, said that the Disciplinary Commission for Disciplinary Responsibility of Students at the University of Sarajevo met and concluded the procedure for determining the disciplinary responsibility of female students.

According to reports, the most severe disciplinary measure prescribed by the Statute of the University of Sarajevo was imposed on the female students — exclusion from studies at the University of Sarajevo, i.e. Faculty of criminalistics, criminology and security studies for the duration of three academic years.

It was established that Vujucic and Todic committed a serious violation of the discipline of behavior and gross damage to the reputation of the University of Sarajevo and the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies.

“In the hope that this decision, as, among other things, the Disciplinary Commission stated in the detailed explanation of the decision, will also have a preventive character, I use this opportunity to invite all students of the University of Sarajevo to refrain from using hate speech, offensive, sexist and discriminatory speech, divisive language and other related narratives when expressing themselves in all forms of public expression (communication and vivo, through social networks, online platforms, media, etc.), taking into account positive legal regulations, their personal reputation and the reputation of the University, as well as far-reaching harmful consequences that these types of narratives have in our society,” said Dean Ahic.

However, to recall, Vujicic and Todic received an invitation from the director of the Security and Information Agency (BIA) of Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin, to continue their studies at the National Security Academy in Belgrade.

Serbia will grant them a scholarship and they will be provided with accommodation in a dormitory, Klix.ba reports.
