The story of the captain of the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Edin Dzeko, and his team Fenerbahce started in a good way despite the fact that the Turkish club was defeated two days ago in a friendly match against Crvena zvezda.

Dzeko wore the captain’s armband in his debut for the new club, which is a hint that leadership and great things are expected from our striker in the next season.

Fenerbahce coach Ismail Kartal confirmed after the game that Dzeko will be the captain next season.

“Our new captain is Edin Dzeko. Dzeko is world-class and the new leader of our team,” said Kartal.

Dzeko responded like a gentleman yesterday.

“Proud,” Bosnian Diamond wrote alongside a photo of him in a Fenerbahce jersey with the captain’s armband and quotes from his new coach.

Namely, Dzeko and Fenerbahce will play their next game on Saturday against Azerbaijan’s Neftchi, Klix.ba reports.
