The attraction has officially arrived in Tuzla, and yesterday the first citizens enjoyed a ride on the Ferris wheel. At the very top, from a height of 22 meters, they had the opportunity to view the sun-bathed city of salt.
In order to further enrich the spring season, the authorities in Tuzla enabled the first installation of a Ferris wheel in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). Even before it officially started working, this installation attracted a lot of attention from citizens.
“Today, we present this unique tourist attraction to all the citizens and visitors of the city. We are happy that we hosted it in the city of salt and that we are decorating this spring in Tuzla in a unique way. In the next month, in addition to the ferris wheel, as part of the Spring in Tuzla event, there will be numerous contents have been realized,” said yesterday the director of the Tuzla Tourist Board, Amra Jaganjac.
The Ferris wheel undoubtedly put Tuzla in the focus of the BiHpublic, and Mayor Zijad Lugavic points out that this attraction is especially important this year, when two decades of the opening of the first Pannonian lake are being celebrated.
“It is a kind of jubilee for Tuzla, but also for tourism in the area of the city. On the other hand, we have once again shown that in addition to building a favorable entrepreneurial and economic environment and communal infrastructure, we are also creating all possible preconditions for an even better quality of life for our citizens,” Lugavic added.
The Ferris wheel has 18 cabins that can fit three to five people, and it was installed in cooperation with the Bingo company.
Rides that last between eight and ten minutes are not free, and accordingly tickets for children up to 10 years old cost five BAM, while for adults it is three BAM more expensive. A family ticket that includes two adults and the same number of children costs 25 BAM.
“For our fellow citizens, we have prepared a discount by which they can get a lower ticket price by attaching a receipt from our stores worth 50 BAM or more. The discount applies to tickets for adults. We will also be awarding free tickets daily through social networks,” said Amina Celikovic from the company Bingo.
Officials believe that this attraction will attract a large number of tourists to the city in the coming days, which will contribute to the additional development of the hospitality and hotel sector, along with other economic activities, Klix.ba reports.
