Representatives of political parties in the Republika Srpska (RS), headed by Milorad Dodik, held a meeting yesterday in Banja Luka, where a joint statement was established in response to the statement of politicians from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) on the issue of state property.

RTRS published photos of the joint draft statement on state property, and Dodik scheduled the signing of the statement for Monday at 3 p.m.

In this draft of the statement, the signatories stated that they are requesting the convening of a special session of the National Assembly of RS (NARS), which would discuss and make an appropriate decision on the actions of RS authorities and RS representatives in state institutions.

Then, in point three of this statement, the signatories refer to the Dayton Agreement and Annex 2, where “BiH does not own the territory, but only the external border”.

Furthermore, in the draft statement, the politicians from the RS are obliged to propose to the BiH Parliamentary Assembly the adoption of the Law on the Termination of the Mandate of Foreign Judges and the Election of Domestic Judges in the Constitutional Court of BiH.

Then, the signatories of the statement call on the witnesses of the Dayton Agreement to respond to “attempts to dismantle the Dayton Agreement”. Otherwise, as stated in point seven, “RSwill retain the right to finally decide on its future status”.

Also, it was noted yesterday and stated in point eight that the RS will address Serbia and Croatia with a request to protect the general framework agreement. The judges of the Constitutional Court of BiH from RS were ordered to suspend their work in that institution until the Law on the Constitutional Court of BiHis adopted.

“The Government of the RS undertakes to continue the negotiations with the Government of the FBiH with the aim of defining the border line between the RS and the FBiH”, it was further stated in the draft statement. Also, in the same point 17, it is stated that “the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS undertakes to form a special organizational unit within the Ministry of Internal Affairs that will monitor the border between the entities”.

They also stated that the RS, by a special decision of the NARS, will abolish the competences of the Court of BiH and the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, they remain committed to the mission of EUFOR “Althea”, but with the condition that there is no increase in the number of soldiers.

Finally, as a last point, the following is stated:

“If the anti-Dayton action of the Constitutional Court of BiH and political representatives from the FBiH towards the RS continues, the RS will offer the FBiH to sign an agreement on peaceful disassociation”.

To recall, the leaders of the PDP, Branislav Borenovic, and the List for Justice and Order, Nebojsa Vukanovic, did not respond to yesterday’s meeting, Klix.ba reports.
