“Do you have a minute?” was the title of an OneMinutesJr Film Festival which took place in Banja Luka’s Multiplex Palace Cinema on 14 March 2013.

Twenty two selected movies, produced by children from 11 cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, were screened during the Festival. Winners in different categories were announced after the screening.

The movies, entirely produced by children, were originally created under the project Strengthening the Social Protection and Inclusion System. Children from Brčko distrikt, Posušje, Velika Kladuša, Tešanj, Gornji Vakuf/Uskoplje, Kupres, Prnjavor, Derventa, Mrkonjić Grad and Čelinac i Gacko were trained how to conceptualize their ideas of social inclusion into a one minute movie form.

Out of a total of 105 movies produced, 22 were pre-selected for the Festival.

The Jury constituted of professionals from the areas of Film, Theater, Journalism and Photography will decide on the winners for the best scenario, directing, acting, the special Jury Award and finally – the Grand Prix of the Festival.

All the 105 movies were qualified for an Audience Award that will be given based on the total number of “likes”, acquired on Facebook.

The Project for Enhancing the Social Protection and Inclusion System for Children in BiH (SPIS) is funded by the European Union and implemented by UNICEF and Government authorities at all levels. The programme has been financed by the European Union since 2008 from the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) in a total amount of 4.1 million EUR, with the objective to support enhancing the system for adequate social protection policy and inclusion of children and their families. The SPIS approach, which has been successfully modelled in 21 Municipalities, has the potential to be expanded to the rest of the country.

In the category ‘Best direction’ the award went to Katarina Kupčak from Deventa for the film ‘Škripofonija’, in the category ‘Best Script’ the award went to Anabela Jovičić from Derventa for her film ‘Egzodus’, the award ‘Best Acting’ went to actors of ‘ŽaBazen’ by Milan Rogić from Brčko. Special award of the jury went to Kata Martić from Posušje for her film ‘Oni Znaju’ and the Grand Prix of Festival went to ‘BiH adrenalinska avanture’ which was created by Patrik Ledić from Kupres.

The award of the audience went to film ‘Naš Dom’ by Džejlan Sefić from Velika Kladuša who received the greatest number of likes on Facebook page.
