Fifteen New Cases of Coronavirus confirmed in Sarajevo

In the past 24 hours, 299 people were tested in the Sarajevo Canton (CS), and 15 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed, and one patient who was infected with this virus died.

In the same period, 30 people recovered from COVID-19 infection. Today, Sarajevo Canton records 633 active cases of COVID-19 infection, and there are currently 3,105 people in self-isolation.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 52,165 people infected with coronavirus have been registered in CS and 50,293 have been cured. According to the data of the Public Health Institute of CS, in the past seven days, the average number of infected is 21, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 35.

Currently, 144 patients are hospitalized in CS, 82 at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and at the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas ”62 patients.

There are four patients on the respirator, three at the KCUS and one at the General Hospital.

At the same time, oxygen support for breathing above 15 liters per minute is used by 15 patients at KCUS, and six at the General Hospital.

In the past 24 hours, four people were released from hospitalization. In the COVID-dispensaries of the Public Institution Health Center of CS, 183 patients were examined, five of whom were transported to KCUS and, after a long time, none to the General Hospital.

The total number of PCR swabs taken at checkpoints and COVID clinics was 237. The COVID call center recorded 168 calls, and 138 interviews were conducted with patients via telephone numbers in COVID clinics.
