filip-savicFilip Savic from Srbac, the best student in the history of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Banja Luka, completed his master studies in Munich and got a job offer in the famous American company “Texas Instruments”, which employs over two thousand people in its German subsidiary.

After two years spent in Norway and Germany at the Universities of Kaiserslautern and Trondheim, he defended his master thesis in this very company in which he will be working on the design of integrated electric circuits, chips for cars, mobile phones, and home appliances.

“After they liked my work, they offered me a permanent job and I became part of their team in February. This is a successful company with a decades-long tradition in the development of analog chips and embedded processors. The main company in Texas employs over 10,000 people and have more than 42,000 previous patents,” said Filip who will, in parallel with that, prepare for his doctoral studies.

He was the first student who has achieved an average of 10.0 in Electrical Engineering in Banja Luka, which has not happened in the 52-year history of this institution, although the title of engineers was previously acquired by 2,500 students.

Two years ago, he received the Medal of Njegos from the President of the RS – Milorad Dodik and a new recognition came a few days ago when he was elected for the new composition of the Senate of the RS, as one of the youngest in the history of this consultative body.

“The invitation to participate in the Senate surprised me because I first thought that I was called to the Senate of the University of Banja Luka. When I realized what it was, I was really honored because there are indeed eminent experts. I’m very proud to find myself in the company of former presidents of the RS and numerous academics, and several other young people who have achieved excellent results,” says Filip, who will be a member of the Senate for the next 7 years.
