Improving cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, developing tourism potential, and current political processes in BiH were the topics of the meeting between the Vice President of the HDZ BiH and a member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Darijana Filipović, and the Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia, Tonči Glavina.

As announced by the HDZ BiH, during the meeting, the importance of continuing the partnership between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia’s support for projects aimed at economic development, regional connectivity, and strengthening tourism competitiveness was emphasized.

Special attention was paid to the tourism potential of Mostar, which is considered one of the most important tourist destinations in BiH.

The interlocutors also discussed the political situation in BiH, emphasizing the importance of respecting the constitutional order and the principle of equality of constituent peoples as a prerequisite for the country’s stability, functionality, and European perspective.

Filipović, according to the statement, emphasized the need to continue political dialogue and reach an agreement on amendments to the BiH Election Law in accordance with the decisions of domestic and international courts and constitutional principles.

“The support of the Croatian Government to the Croatian people in BiH is of exceptional importance in every respect. Our discussions today on specific projects confirm this, and investments in infrastructure for the development of sports and tourism potential will certainly remain recognizable symbols of cooperation between the two friendly countries,” said Filipović.

Glavina assessed that the protection of the constitutional position of the constituent peoples and the implementation of European reforms are important prerequisites for the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European path, confirming continued support for projects aimed at the development of sports infrastructure and tourism potential.

The meeting confirmed the commitment to continuing cooperation on projects of interest to the Croatian people in BiH, and to strengthening overall relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, according to a statement from the HDZ BiH.
