With premiere of film ”Lincoln” in multiplex of Cinema City in Sarajevo, American corner has been opened.
Greeting the audience Thomas Mesa from the PR office of the US Embassy said that Abraham Lincoln was a man who merged wisdom with political skills in order to pass a new law which would abolish slavery. Mesa added that Lincoln was one of the greatest men in the US history.
”We often talk about the need that BiH political leaders leave behind their personal agendas and find a compromise, so that the country could move forward. We are glad we introduced this film which is nominated for Oscar, film about the times of temptations in the US history, and how the political leaders of that team had to make hard decision to abolish slavery and move the USA forward”, said Thomas Mesa.
