The Municipality of Center Sarajevo put preserving the legacy of Defensive-Liberation war in 1992-1995 high on their priority list. All activities that are aimed to save the truth about the war from oblivion, but also not to repeat the war never again, Mayor of the Municipality Center, Becirevic and Municipal Council are strongly supporting.
The Association for the protection of historical values Haber is recording documentary films for several years, which present a multitude of unknown facts and details about Defensive-Liberation war, and the Municipality of Center has provided financial support to this association whole time. Thus, eight films have been recorded so far including “Aliens above Sarajevo”, “Bosnian women”, “Heroes in white” etc. The shooting of the 9th film on the role of taxi drivers in defense of Sarajevo and B&H is taking place, and the Municipality of Centre allocated 10,000 BAM for co-financing.
On this occasion, Mayor Becirevic and president of the Association Haber Omer Edo Hadrovic signed a protocol on the donation of mentioned funds.
“The films that we are making are very important for younger generations and in this way they can learn about the events in the past war. We are planning to make a premiere of the film in May, to mark the Day of the Municipality Center,” said Hadrovic.
“This that you do remain for our future generations. They will be able to see what happened in B&H in the period from 1992 to 1995 and what is the truth,” said Jasna Beba, Secretary of the municipal administrative authority.
