Center for development of youth activism has organized the project ” Volunteering is cool” in four municipalities of Canton Sarajevo in this academic year. Within this project, at least once a week, students from Primary schools have fulfilled the volunteering activities by their own choice.
The goal of this project was the establishment of an inclusive society through heightened activities of students in the volunteer and humanitarian actions. The project wanted to give the opportunity for youth to gain new experiences that will have practical significance in their future profession. These activities were also organized with the aim of preparing them to be socially responsible in a democratic society.
The gallery of volunteering will be the final manifestation of the project ” Volunteering is cool!”. This manifestation will gather ten Primary schools from Canton Sarajevo, where all students will have the opportunity to present their volunteer work in a form of a portfolio, to share their experiences, and to promote quality features of volunteering, such as: trust, solidarity, and tolerance. Best volunteer ideas will be awarded by the sponsors and friends of the project.
The gallery of volunteering 2012, will be held today at 12:00 p.m. in the premises of the Primary school ” Isak Samokovlija”. The sponsors of this project are: managing director of ”LIDER”, director of ”INFOHOUSE” Dženana Alađuz, the director of the Bosniak Institute and many others.
